Terms of Service

By creating an account or using MiaStorybook, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the parent/legal guardian of the children who will use the service), and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

MiaStorybook is a subscription-based digital library of illustrated, narrated children's storybooks for children aged 2–12 years. The service includes access to an online reading platform, audio narration, reading progress tracking, and gamification features (badges, streaks, leaderboard).

• Accounts must be created and managed by an adult (18+). Children cannot create their own accounts.
• You may create up to 3 child profiles per subscription account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Child profiles use only a first name or nickname — no email or personally identifiable information is collected from children.

• Access requires an active paid subscription (Monthly or Annual plans).
• A 3-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. No credit card is required to start the trial.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment information.
• Founding Member pricing is locked for life as long as the subscription remains active and is not transferred.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription time.
• Gift subscriptions are non-refundable once redeemed.
• If you experience a service outage lasting more than 48 hours in a billing period, contact us for a pro-rata credit.

• All stories, illustrations, audio, and content on MiaStorybook are owned by MiaStorybook or licensed to us.
• Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access content for private, non-commercial use.
• You may not copy, download, distribute, reproduce, or share any content from the platform.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not:

• Collect personal information directly from children under 13.
• Display advertising to any users of our platform.
• Share children's data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Use children's reading data for any purpose other than providing and improving the service.

Parents have the right to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information. Contact us at privacy@MiaStorybook.com.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent content protection or DRM measures.
• Share account credentials with non-household members.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the platform.

MiaStorybook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid for your subscription in the last 12 months.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
